Lord Mayor’s Dragon Awards 2023: celebrating responsible businesses in London
This year’s much-anticipated Lord Mayor’s Dragon Awards highlight the sterling efforts of businesses in London supporting charities, uplifting employment for under-represented groups, and advocating financial education across the UK. A total of 22 commendable companies and individuals are vying for these prestigious honours.
Annually hosted by the City of London Corporation, the awards salute London businesses demonstrating exceptional commitment to societal benefit and ethical enterprise.

For the first time since its inauguration in 1987, an individual accolade, titled ‘Social Impact Leadership’, has been introduced. This distinctive award lauds an exemplary individual who’s shown immense dedication for societal welfare.
Prominent award categories include the ‘Lord Mayor’s Special Award for Leadership in Financial Literacy’, the ‘Community Partners Award’, and the ‘Heart of the City Award’ targeting businesses making significant social impact in Greater London recently.
The winners’ announcement, set for 10 October, will be a grand affair at the Lord Mayor’s opulent Mansion House, graced by Tim Campbell, famed for his recent association with Lord Alan Sugar on BBC’s ‘The Apprentice’.
Lord Mayor Nicholas Lyons praised the shortlisted entities saying, “These nominees have already showcased commendable work across Greater London and the UK. Though only six will clinch the distinguished trophies, they all embody the spirit of making tangible differences in lives.”
