Notting Hill Carnival: key road closures and parking updates for bank holiday weekend
With the eagerly anticipated Notting Hill Carnival set for this bank holiday weekend on Sunday, 27th August, and Monday, 28th August, residents and visitors should be prepared for parking alterations and road disruptions in the vicinity.
Westminster Council forecasts this year’s Nothing Hill Carnival to feature 13 steel bands, 72 mas bands, six Brazilian bands, and 36 sound systems, complemented by 300 stalls. Such activity naturally implies significant road closures, especially in nearby areas like Kilburn and Maida Vale. These roadblocks will be in effect from 6am on Sunday until 6am on Tuesday, 29th August. Only carnival floats, designated event vehicles, and emergency services will have access.
