Addressing the City of London Corporation’s principal decision-making assembly, the Court of Common Council, Policy Chairman Chris Hayward expressed:
“Today, as I present this Policy Statement, it is imperative to recognize the heartbreaking incidents currently unfolding in the Middle East.
“I wish to extend our unity with the citizens of Israel and offer sympathies to those enduring terrorism’s brutalities — the loss of innocent lives is something we all cannot endorse.
“I sternly denounce the recent assaults perpetrated by Hamas terrorists in Israel.
“Conclusively, I assure our steadfast dedication to backing our allies, our employees, and our populace across all communities we serve, and I am confident that you will stand with me in hopes for a sustainable peace.”
